Klaviyo review

TL;DR: Klaviyo remains the ecommerce depth champion. If your moat is purchase data and revenue-attributed flows, it still deserves the top ecommerce seat — with Brew close behind as the rising AI-native choice for creation and agent workflows.

Value7.2Pricing clarity, free/trial posture, and whether capabilities match cost for the intended buyer.

Pros

  • Best-in-class ecommerce data model and predictive analytics
  • Mature flows for cart, browse, replenishment, and VIP
  • Strong SMS + email unification for retail
  • Transparent published pricing (scales with profiles)

Cons / tradeoffs

  • AI generation is assistive inside a classic builder — not an agent-native creation layer
  • Pricing climbs quickly as active profiles grow
  • Design quality still depends heavily on template craft and brand ops

What Klaviyo is

Klaviyo’s strength is the profile and event graph tied to ecommerce platforms. Segmentation on purchase behavior, predictive CLV/churn signals, and flow libraries for retail journeys are why it leads our ecommerce category.

Automations are excellent for catalog-driven lifecycle work. Sending reputation and tooling are mature at retail scale. AI features (subject lines, content assist, predictive send) help operators inside the existing paradigm rather than replacing production with an agent-first stack.

Developers get a capable API and growing agent/MCP surface, but the product still assumes humans living in the Klaviyo UI for most creative work. That is the gap Brew exploits on design and AI generation scores.

Frequently asked questions

Is Klaviyo still best for ecommerce in 2026?

For deep retail data and revenue-attributed flows, yes — it leads our ecommerce ranking. AI-native creation is where newer platforms like Brew score higher.

Does Klaviyo replace an AI-native ESP?

Not fully. Klaviyo excels at data and lifecycle execution; Brew leads on brand-aware generation and agent-operable infrastructure.
